GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION: The College Connection Coach/Recruiter plays a vital role in guiding high school students through dual credit, dual enrollment, and Early College programs, ensuring a smooth transition to post-secondary education. This position is responsible for building strong partnerships with local high schools, supporting students in their academic journey, and helping them reach meaningful milestones – such as completing dual credit courses, earning a technical certificate or associate degree from Ivy Tech Community College.
The coach will develop and implement strategic outreach and coaching plans designed to increase student awareness, access, and enrollment at Ivy Tech Community College. Through individualized support, data-informed interventions, and ongoing engagement, the College Connection Coach ensures that students remain on track to complete high school and transition successfully to college-level programs.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver on-site services promoting Dual Credit/Early College programs at high schools, including, but not limited to, information sessions, admissions, assessment testing, advising, orientation sessions, registration, obtaining transcripts, and guidance with financial aid resources.
- Participate in Dual Credit/Early College events at area high schools as needed.
- Keep appropriate records.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and data.
- Participate in recruiting efforts on- and off-campus including college fairs, high school visits, information events, and other potential community activities. Such events occur both during regular business hours and outside of business hours (including evenings and weekends).
- Recruit on behalf of Ivy Tech, sharing and selling the benefits of the Community College to meet the goal of increasing the number of inquiries and applicants to the College along with the conversion of those inquiries and applicants to help move students through the enrollment process.
- Assist applicants with completing steps on the enrollment checklist, including Tier 1 financial aid support.
- Manage, effectively track, and recruit a targeted student group with the use of Ivy Connect (CRM). Use Ivy Connect to assess the effectiveness of various recruitment efforts and adjust recruitment efforts based on intake and conversion numbers to meet established metrics.
- Responsible for keeping current with academic and student affairs program changes.
- Assist with the development of collaborative relationships with local schools, colleges/universities, community agencies, employers, and organizations as they relate to the implementation of the campus recruitment plan.
- Work closely with internal Ivy Tech personnel to coordinate overall recruitment opportunities effectively. Such personnel may include marketing departments, K-14 team members, Accelerated Associate Program staff, career coaches, academic program chairs, 21st Century Scholar representatives, Honors College recruiters, and other potential community and college representatives.
- Coordinate with K-14 administrative staff to support dual credit students’ account creation in DualEnroll.com and assist in enrollment for dual enrollment courses and completion of educational pathways while in high school.
- Assist with the development of admissions and recruitment-related materials and disseminate such materials in coordination with campus and statewide communications and recruitment efforts.
- Develop and convene regularly scheduled small group sessions for students throughout the academic year. These sessions are structured as informal group check-ins and as workshops designed to help students navigate the college environment, access resources, and build a network of peer support. (i.e. program-specific groups, financial aid workshops, ACT & SAT information, ITCC assessment information).
- Collaborate with career coach to establish student career workshops, which may involve on-campus activities, tours, industry visits, and other experiential learning opportunities.

All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
Primary work location: Logansport campus. The Coach will travel weekly to the following schools:
- Logansport High School
- Century Career Center
- West Central High School
Occasional travel to the following schools:
- Caston High School
- Rochester High School
- Pioneer High School
Starting Salary Range: $40,000 - $43,000 based on skills, experience, and education

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree required, bachelor’s preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of relevant professional work experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects required.
- Must possess excellent relationship building skills including working successfully with diverse populations, including (but not limited to) college and school personnel, teachers, and prospective students.
- Must possess effective communication skills (phone, email, and written) and experience in public speaking. Proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams) is preferred; experience with a Customer Relationship Management tool is preferred.
- Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, be willing and able to travel, and work a flexible schedule that includes some evenings and weekends.
