This internship will start in the summer and extend through the school year, with flexibility to work remotely and part time around a school schedule.
General Summary:
- This position will provide the opportunity to increase the intern’s underwriting & actuarial skills by gaining experience in insurance rating, analysis and modeling.
- Assist with day-to-day operations, performing tasks to plan and implement projects, as well as conducting analysis and reports to assist in recommendations.
- Pull and scrub data, perform analysis, develop studies, and put together presentations to inform key decision makers.
- The intention is for the work to be that of an entry-level analyst to best prepare the intern for a full-time position, if so desired.
- The intern will receive assistance, training, and mentoring from senior level staff as well as get exposure to Power BI & SQL.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Must be enrolled in, or a recent graduate, of a 4 year undergraduate or 2 year graduate program.
- Area of study in Actuary Science, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
