Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Manager to oversee and manage various aspects of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, with expertise in project scheduling, budgeting, and quality control. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively supervise teams, manage contracts, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Duties
- Oversee the planning and execution of commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
- Manage project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 and HeavyBid to ensure timely delivery.
- Develop and maintain budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
- Review and analyze contracts to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Supervise on-site activities, ensuring adherence to OSHA standards and safety protocols.
- Conduct quality control inspections to guarantee that work meets industry standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for project tracking and documentation.
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to junior staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and HeavyBid.
- Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
- Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, and estimating for commercial projects.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Excellent management skills with proven supervising experience in a construction setting.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating contracts and project performance.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Familiarity with pipeline construction processes is a plus.
