Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Execute commercial cleaning duties in various settings, ensuring high standards of cleanliness.
- Carry out floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to keep surfaces in optimal condition.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
- Engage in industrial cleaning processes for specialized environments while adhering to safety protocols.
- Act as a porter by moving furniture or equipment as required for events or maintenance activities.
Skills
- Experience in Commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
- Ability to perform floor care tasks including buffing and maintaining various surface types.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capable of working independently while also being a collaborative team member when necessary.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and occupants.
- Excellent attendance, punctuality is required
- This is a physically demanding position, requiring the ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted, reach overhead, bend, lift, climb step ladders, etc.
