Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work with various tools and materials. The Pipefitter will ensure that all work is completed in compliance with industry codes and standards.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain piping systems for water, gas, steam, and other fluids.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout specifications.
- Use power tools and welding equipment to assemble and install pipes.
- Perform tube bending and rigging tasks as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of piping systems to identify issues or necessary repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout all tasks.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
Skills
- Proficient in pipeline installation and maintenance techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to pipefitting practices.
- Experience with power tools and welding techniques, including stick welding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Familiarity with rigging procedures for pipe installation.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards governing pipefitting work.
- Competence in tube bending techniques for various applications.
