Summary
The change communications specialist will develop change communication plans, calendars, and materials across multiple platforms for the DCPX Change Enablement & Execution Team. They will creatively project-manage, coordinate, and execute outreach for a variety of tech and business change initiatives using storytelling, framing/positioning, and new media to advance adoption and build internal understanding of Wealth Management’s Digital Client and Partner Experience (DCPX) story.

Duties
Write targeted, engaging messages in support of DCPX’s strategic priorities to unveil Northern Trust’s digital vision, transformation/journey and change efforts. This may include:
Synthesizing project information and demos into clear, concise overviews of benefits and impact
Articles and editorial calendar planning
Intranet and knowledge management support (SharePoint/M365 knowledge preferred)
Multimedia production: basic video editing, design, social media skills preferred
Powerpoint presentations and one-pagers
Partner messages, talking points and scripts
Collateral material which features design elements and infographics
Conduct intake/discovery conversations with product teams and collaborators to determine the approach needed to help users understand and engage with new tools, changes, or adopt modern ways of working.
Draft multichannel communication project plans that appropriately reflect project scale, audience, tone, and champions.
Apply an internal marketing approach to optimizing headlines, content, video, and cultivating influencers from within. Will be responsible for tactical production of multimedia assets to support this approach.
Provide succinct status updates on multiple projects in flight and ensure timely reviews from collaborators
Ensure appropriate sequencing and pace of messages; build and execute editorial calendar and engagement strategy that helps internal stakeholder groups share a clear purpose and call of action aligned with key transformation milestones.
Secure and help facilitate speaking opportunities for Leadership to present content to various stakeholder groups; customize messaging to ensure relevancy.

Knowledge/
Skills
- Excellent persuasive writing, editing, and speaking skills
- Lead with empathy – skilled at relationship-building, identifying pain points, motivators, and perspectives for various audiences
- Ability to understand, narrate and contextualize digital transformation concepts in a compelling and accurate manner for a range of audiences
- Demonstrated project management experience sequencing messaging and coordinating multiple assignments simultaneously
- Proven ability ensuring communications and activities are relevant, timely, optimized, and achieving measurable goals
- Knowledge of Office 365 (Powerpoint, SharePoint, Teams)
- Light-touch video and graphics skills: preference given to those with previous video editing and experience using Adobe Creative Suite, however those with experience in Canva, Capcut, and other accessible production tools also welcome.
- Social media acumen strongly preferred
- Wealth Management business acumen preferred

Salary Range:
$67,500 - 111,500 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
