Christopher Community, Inc. (CCI) seeks a Full Time Community Impact & Resource Manager to join its growing organization! The physical work location for this position will be at the Corporate Office located in Syracuse, NY.
CCINC is a not-for-profit Housing Development and Property Management company that assist low- and moderate-income families and seniors to secure suitable housing across Upstate New York. Christopher Community currently manages over 3,300 units of housing in more than 100 buildings, and administers the Rental Assistance Program in Onondaga County, which provides assistance to over 1,200 households. Since 1971, Christopher Community has maintained a proven track record in developing and operating affordable housing. We regularly receive very high ratings both from government and private entities for the way we manage our properties.

BENEFIT SUMMARY:
- Full Time Position
- 35-hour work week (flexible and hybrid scheduling available)
- 21 Paid Time Off (PTO) - Vacation, Personal & Sick Days (Increased to 30 PTO days after 1st Year)

- Hiring Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 Depending on Experience & Qualifications

Requirements
The Community Impact & Resource Manager at Christopher Community, Inc. (CCI) plays a key role in strengthening the organization’s fundraising capacity, donor relationships, grant portfolio, and public visibility. Reporting to the President & CEO, this position supports the organization’s mission by developing funding opportunities, planning and executing community-facing initiatives, and working in close collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Communications. Responsibilities include grant seeking and reporting, donor engagement, event coordination, and social media support. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and connector who enjoys building relationships and advancing meaningful work across multiple channels.
- Research and apply for grant funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources aligned with organizational goals.
- Coordinate all aspects of grant reporting, ensuring compliance with deadlines, budgets, and programmatic outcomes.
- Lead the planning and implementation of fundraising and community engagement events.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Communications on social media strategy and content that highlights the organization’s impact and priorities.
- Manage donor outreach and stewardship efforts, including thank-you letters, donor communications, and relationship tracking.
- Maintain an accurate database of grants, donors, deadlines, and engagement history.
- Partner with leadership to identify and pursue fundraising priorities that align with long-term strategic goals.
- Represent Christopher Community at community events and engagement opportunities as needed.
- Track and report on key performance indicators related to fundraising outcomes and community impact.
- Contribute to a positive, mission-driven work culture rooted in transparency, accountability, and results.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, public administration, or related field preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in fundraising, grant writing, event planning, or community engagement.
- Proven success in securing funding through grant proposals, individual donations, or sponsorships.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, particularly in donor communications, impact-driven communication, and grant proposals.
- Experience planning, managing and executing community events and campaigns.
- Familiarity with digital communications and social media strategies to engage supporters and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and competing priorities.
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying opportunities and solving problems and improving processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor management or CRM systems; experience with Canva or similar design tools is a plus.
