Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computer Refurbishment Manager to oversee the refurbishment, repair, and resale of used computing equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in hardware diagnostics, repair, and quality assurance, as well as leadership skills to manage a team of technicians. This role ensures that refurbished computers meet industry standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the refurbishment process, including repair, testing, and quality control.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues in used computers and peripherals.
- Develop and implement best practices for refurbishing devices efficiently.
- Manage inventory of refurbished equipment and coordinate with suppliers for necessary parts.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and data security regulations in handling used electronics.
- Train and mentor a team of refurbishment technicians to improve efficiency and technical skills.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and refurbishment processes.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote refurbished products effectively.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Technical Expertise: Preferred experience in computer repair, diagnostics, and refurbishment.
- Management Skills: Ability to lead and oversee a team of technicians.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality assurance and product testing.
- Organizational Abilities: Inventory management experience.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written skills for customer interactions and team coordination.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of sustainability practices in electronics refurbishment.
Education & Experience:
- 2+ years of management experience (preferred).
- Certifications in hardware repair (CompTIA A+, Apple Certified Technician, etc.) are a plus.
