- Perform advanced computer and peripheral hardware repairs. Provide additional technical support for Level II computer technicians. This role includes a strong focus on Chromebook repair and refurbishment.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas driver’s license
- Apple Certifications preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Windows and MacOS and their respective hardware platforms
- Expertise in diagnosing and repairing Chromebooks, including component-level replacements, board swaps, and software restoration.
- Oversee and execute large-scale computer deployments, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to end-users. This may involve planning, logistics, and coordination with different departments.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, SCCM, and minor administrator duties.
- Ability to assess and recommend new technologies or devices for district use
- Possess extensive knowledge in the repair of a wide range of related devices: Chromebooks, iPads, laser printers, desktop scanners, inkjet printers, plotter-poster printers, vinyl cutters, and 3D printers
- Ability to train and mentor Level I and II technicians
- Due to the extreme volume of devices involved, individuals will need to be detail-oriented and able to work within a high-pressure environment
- Have the ability to make repairs quickly
- Working knowledge of inventory systems
- Possess effective communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Have 3+ years in either a high-volume repair depot or educational technology environment with a broad range of device experience
- Perform bench-level hardware and software repairs on Chromebooks, computers, and peripherals
- Provide direct technical support for the district administration building and radio station, including on-site troubleshooting, upgrades, and device maintenance
- Manage parts inventory, repair tracking, and warranty service coordination
- Provide hands-on support and escalation assistance for Level I/II technicians
- Lead or assist with complex technical projects and device deployments
- Coordinate all service warranties for different technologies around the district
- Participate in evaluation/testing of new technology prior to adoption
- Perform minor System Administrator tasks as needed
- Support and uphold district technology standards and procedures
- Technical mentoring for level I and II technicians
- Project management as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned.
