Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized 100% REMOTE Part-Time Construction-based Bookkeeper to join their team immediately. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records for our construction projects. The successful candidate will work approximately 30-40 hours per month and possess a strong background in construction accounting, particularly with experience using Viewpoint Spectrum software .
Duties & Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable specific to construction projects.
- Manage job costing and project-related expense tracking.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Prepare and process payroll for construction staff.
- Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, tailored for construction.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper in the construction industry.
- Demonstrable proficiency with Viewpoint Spectrum construction software is required.
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, including job costing and lien waivers.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to start immediately.
