Construction Inspector – Sanitary Sewer Assessment and Rehabilitation (Urgent Hiring)
Location: Marietta, GA
Salary Range: $36 - $40 per hour (Based on education & experience)
Summary
Engineering Design Technologies, Inc., a multi-discipline engineering firm, is seeking experienced Construction Inspectors to support sanitary sewer inspection and rehabilitation projects in the Atlanta, Georgia area. In this role, you will conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Responsibilities include reviewing construction plans and contract documents, documenting project progress, and collaborating closely with contractors and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of sanitary sewer systems, proficiency in using tablets and reporting software, and strong time management and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection services for sanitary sewer assessment and rehabilitation projects.
- Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Utilize tablets, laptops, and software tools for field reporting and data entry.
- Maintain accurate and detailed inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, project managers, and engineers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sanitary sewer rehabilitation inspection.
- Knowledge of sanitary sewer materials, technologies, and equipment.
- Familiarity with inspection procedures and principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and database software.
- Experience using tablets and laptops in the field.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and stay organized.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Certifications Required:
- NASSCO MACP (Manhole Assessment Certification Program)
- NASSCO PACP (Pipeline Assessment Certification Program)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Georgia Water Distribution License (preferred but not required)
Other Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Georgia driver's license.
- Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
Compensation
$36 - $40 per hour (Based on education & experience)
