Construction Job Supervisor / Assistant Project Manager

OBJECTIVES
Construction Job Supervisor / Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for delivering the following outcomes within the position to be part of the overall company growth:
- Meet daily Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and monthly/quarterly for the position along with managing the positional metrics.
- Setting personal, professional, and financial goals with your manager through biweekly meetings.
- Oversee day-to-day field operations and support project management functions to ensure commercial construction projects are completed within established timelines and budget constraints.
- Enforce OSHA and company-specific safety protocols across all job sites. Conduct regular safety audits and ensure all subcontractors comply with regulatory requirements and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop construction schedules, phasing plans, and manpower forecasts. Coordinate sequencing and logistics to ensure efficient workflow across trades.
- Conduct ongoing inspections to ensure all work performed meets company and project specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
- Assist in managing subcontractor performance and vendor coordination, ensuring contractual obligations, scope, and timelines are adhered to across the project lifecycle.
- Serve as a liaison between the jobsite and project management team, relaying updates, change orders, material requests, and issue resolutions in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, job logs, and project documentation. Support the Project Manager with weekly updates, progress photos, and reports for ownership or executive review.
- Help manage procurement timelines, verify material deliveries, and track usage on site to minimize delays and reduce waste.
- Assist in collecting warranties, as-builts, punch lists, and other closeout materials to ensure smooth turnover to owners or property management teams.

Communication & Collaboration: Maintains clear, professional dialogue across field and office teams, vendors, and clients.
Problem Solving & Adaptability: Quickly identifies issues, pivots as needed, and implements practical solutions under pressure.
METRICS
Success in this role will be measured by the following metrics:
INDIVIDUAL
- Schedule Performance: Deliver within ±5% of baseline
- Budget Accuracy: Control costs within ±3% of budget
- Daily Reports: Minimum 5 per week with full documentation
- Safety Audits: Weekly with all issues addressed and no OSHA fines
- Change Order Turnaround: <72 hours
- Punch List Closeout: 90% completion before substantial completion
- Client Satisfaction: 90%+ score on project feedback
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management and supervising teams on-site
- Proficiency in construction management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
- Skilled in project scheduling, budgeting, and contract management
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics, with experience in construction estimating and quality control
- Familiarity with tools like Bluebeam and Project for project tracking and documentation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
