Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee our construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining quality control throughout the construction process. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of construction management, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, engineers and other construction management to develop and manage project schedules, budget , trade quality and resolve issues that may arise during construction..
- Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, safety compliance (including OSHA regulations), and adherence to project plans.
- Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
- Train and mentor site personnel in best practices for safety, quality control, and effective work habits.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles, including project scheduling, maintaining daily logs, and quality control processes including building construction processes and procedures, equipment, tools and materials in the work place.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment on-site.
- Experience supervising teams and managing subcontractors effectively.
- Fluent with specification and blueprints..
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across various levels of stakeholders.
- Experience in conducting group meetings and reconciling any conflicting views.
- Understands and is proficient with Procore and Microsoft office software.
