Who We’re Looking For:
As a key member of the Operations team, the Continuous Improvement Manager will be a site change agent responsible for driving improvement through all functions of the Site Leadership Team.
About the Role:
- Manage the continuous improvement efforts & the Hoshin Planning process for site strategic initiatives.
- Coach & mentor direct reports assigned to operations for process & systems integration & improvement efforts.
- Partner with finance to track financial impact of initiatives, conduct accountability meetings, and prepare for site CIP monthly review meetings
- Execute time studies to maximize efficient and improve labor utilization using lean methodologies such as value stream mapping, standardized work, scheduling and material system optimization, total productive maintenance (TPM), leader standard work, problem solving, and overall analysis and focused improvement on efficiency opportunities.
- Ensure implementation, sustainment, and effectiveness of site MDI (Managing Daily Improvement) tier structure.
- Plan & facilitate cross functional kaizen events and workshops to drive continuous improvement.
- Influence teams to improve results for safety, quality, delivery, cost and engagement.
- Promote lean thinking through training, mentoring, and coaching at all levels of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, engineering degree preferred
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a lean transformational role preferred. Knowledge of 6 sigma methodologies to identify and reduce/eliminate process variation.
- Proven experience in continuous improvement methodologies within a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in management software such as Power BI, SAP & other systems.
- Strong background in supply chain management, production planning, and inventory control.
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the capability to collaborate across diverse teams.
