POSITION SUMMARY
The Programs Specialist is a part-time, contract position responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and follow-up of virtual educational programs. This role involves direct coordination with program speakers, technical facilitation of virtual sessions, and administrative support to ensure successful program delivery and sponsor fulfillment.
This is a remote position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Virtual Program Coordination:
- Coordinate with program speakers to schedule planning calls.
- Assist in editing and formatting presentation materials.
- Moderate and host live virtual programs, including managing Zoom features such as breakout rooms, polling questions, and chat engagement.
- Provide live technical support during sessions to ensure smooth experience for participants and presenters.
Program Operations and Reporting:
- Ensure sponsor listings and acknowledgments are fulfilled according to agreements.
- Pull post-program survey data and compile wrap-up summaries to share with consultants and staff.
- Maintain clear communication with the Programs team regarding program status and deliverables.
General:
- Support the mission and values of Can Do MS by contributing to a high-quality participant experience.
- Attend virtual team meetings, as needed.
- Perform other program-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
- Experience facilitating or coordinating online programs or events.
- Familiarity with nonprofit programming or health education is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in Zoom, including hosting, breakout room management, polling questions and, and chat moderation.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Experience creating summary reports or data wrap-ups preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Remote work environment with distributed team and flexible hours.
- Must have access to reliable internet and a distraction-free setting to host live sessions.
- This is a remote contract opportunity, and we ask that applicants be equipped with their own computer, internet access, and other standard home office tools. We do not provide company-issued hardware for this role.
COMPENSATION: $30-45/hour DOE
HOURS: Estimated 25-30 hours per week
CONTRACT DATES: August 4 – December 12, 2025
