Trane has an exciting new opportunity to join our Contracting team in Miramar Florida as a Project Administrator Team Leader! As the Project Administrator Team Leader, you will coach, train and mentor the PA Team. In addition, you will supervise a team of direct reports. You will be the administrative point of contact for the Region for the Contracting business, and work with cross functional teams to meet business objectives, communicate administrative needs, and develop solutions to any systems/process gaps.
The Team Leader demonstrates advanced business and financial acumen. Leads the hiring and onboarding of new project administrators, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the team. Appraises performance; insuring employee accountability; provides coaching and mentoring to employees; and is instrumental in resolving problems.

Where is the work:
This position has been designated as a hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.
What you will do:
- Monitors performance and progress of the regional project portfolio to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Manages performance by monitoring assigned personnel effectiveness and efficiency in relation to specific objectives and operating plan goals.
- Collaborates with Regional Operations Leaders on business planning, financial reporting, and resource allocation to drive organizational success.
- Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers (internal & external) and assigned staff.
- Leads and directs standard work by identifying areas for improvement, developing standard procedures, implementing best practices, and conducting confirmation audits.
- Drives project administration excellence by ensuring strict adherence to business processes, analyzing performance reports, overseeing compliance, maintaining comprehensive documentation, and navigating complex regulatory requirements.
- Assists in the financial management of projects by monitoring cash flow, supporting collection efforts, issuing purchase orders, supporting vendor relationships, processing billings, monitoring applied cost, assistance in project forecasting, and ensure compliance guidelines are followed.
- Some travel with occasional overnight stays (25%).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/ Carless Driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
What you will bring:
- 7 years of construction industry experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams comprised of different skill / knowledge levels
- Ability to facilitate team meetings, recognize process / systems gaps, identify training opportunities, lead small lean projects / activities to drive business improvements and act as a change agent.
- Must demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor others.
- Organizational expertise, strong verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $72,700 - $96,300
Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
