Controller is a full-time accounting position at our corporate office in Skokie. It is ideal for someone with experience in the SNF industry and looking to grow his or her career.
Primary Responsibilities
- Preparing the general ledger and posting all necessary journal entries
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts monthly to ensure accuracy
- Analyzing income statement accounts and compare to budgets monthly
- Preparing financial statements monthly
- Post accrual entries as necessary
- Review invoices coded by the AP department for accuracy
- Train and Review Staff accountants
- Prepare budget reports
- Report directly to the CFO
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Business Administration, Accounting and or Finance from an accredited college or university
- Previous experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping
- Previous experience in the healthcare/Long Term Care industry a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
- Ability to Supervise Staff
