The Residence Life Engagement and Title VI Coordinator plays an integral role in enhancing all students' collegiate experience. They are responsible for the creation and management of an ongoing series of social and educational engagement opportunities for the students residing on campus. The Residential Life Engagement and Title VI Coordinator will interface with campus constituents, support institutional directives, and represent the Office of Students' Rights, Responsibilities, and Residence Life, as well as the Division of Student Affairs, on various committees. Additionally, the Residence Life Engagement and Title VI Coordinator assists in resolving complaints of harassment, discrimination, and sexual misconduct and analyzes concerns, and conducts formal investigations of harassment, discrimination, and sexual misconduct cases involving students, faculty and staff. The Investigator conducts prompt and thorough investigations under relevant campus policies, acts as a neutral party to the investigation and provides a detailed, unbiased report regarding the investigation.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, coordinate, and help deliver a comprehensive, flexible suite of engagement events and programs for the residential student environment.
Support the Resident Assistants in their programming efforts, which may include assisting them in program development and implementation.
Lead the development and enhancement of the Onondaga Community College Residence Hall Association, including the recruiting and advising of this organization.
Maintains community presence and actively foster connections with residents in the community.
Organizes and maintain inventory of programming resources/supplies.
Support and participate in all residence-wide programs and initiatives.
Respond to and address any concerns or complaints related to Title VI, making appropriate referrals as necessary.
Conducts harassment, discrimination, and/or sexual misconduct investigations from inception to resolution, in a prompt and thorough manner.
Drafts memoranda and reports related to the investigative process, including appropriate supporting documentation related to the resolution of each matter, in a neutral and unbiased manner.
Reviews and analyzes all allegations of harassment, discrimination, and sexual misconduct thoroughly to determine appropriate investigatory scope and determine if allegations and preliminary assessment call for interim remedial measures.
Leads witness interviews, analyzes witness statements, makes credibility assessments, records findings of fact, and communicates with parties' and witnesses while protecting the independence, integrity, and confidentiality of the investigation.
Other duties as assigned within scope of job responsibilities.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, university, or foreign equivalency.
Two years of professional experience leading engagement initiatives in higher education.
One year of experience conducting formal complaint investigations and/or adjudicating student conduct cases in a collegiate setting which may be part of the two years of professional experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Four years of professional experience in Higher Education.
Professional experience supporting various components of the Title VI process.
Community College experience.
Experience working within diverse populations.
Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and other languages will be considered.

Additional Information:
Salary range is: $44,000-50,000, commensurate with credentials and relevant experience.
