Summary:
Yorktown Systems Group, Inc., is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in core finance and accounting functions, as well as related areas such as Procurement, Program Control and Contracting, which will offer a well-rounded understanding of financial operations in a government contracting environment. The intern will report to the Direct of Finance & Accounting and receive mentorship from experienced team members.
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Provide general administrative support to the YSG F&A and Contracts team, including data entry, record organization, and database maintenance.
- Assist with financial and accounting processes for current and upcoming programs and projects.
- Help review, update, and maintain financial data within Deltek Costpoint and other financial tracking systems.
- Support the review of contract modification, agreements, and related correspondence. Contribute to F&A and/or Contracts projects and initiatives supporting program operations and compliance.
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Strong interest in business operations, finance, or accounting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
