Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Corporate Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with expertise in cash management, budgeting, and technical accounting. This role is pivotal in guiding the financial strategy of the organization while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of cash management to optimize liquidity and ensure financial stability.
- Oversee the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Supervise payroll processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Handle accounts payable functions, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
- Maintain general ledger accounting, ensuring all entries are recorded accurately in accordance with double entry bookkeeping principles.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and ensure adherence to relevant financial concepts.
- Utilize Quickbooks or similar accounting software for efficient financial management and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Corporate Controller or similar role within a corporate finance environment.
- Strong knowledge of cash management, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and technical accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Familiarity with double entry bookkeeping practices is essential.
