OVERVIEW
This person is experienced in Revenue Management and is responsible for the performance analysis of demand and revenue associated with hotel rooms across a defined portfolio. The position prepares forecasts, budgets, weekly projections, and analyzes performance against each. It supports the development and use of analytical tools and systems to maximize revenue and profit. The role critiques the effectiveness of sales strategies and prepares both retrospective and forward-looking analysis of revenue and profit opportunities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepares hotel revenue forecasts for rooms – 1-month, 2-month and 3-month, and rolling 12-month budget for a portfolio of hotels.
- Works collaboratively and effectively with Regional Revenue Managers to gain or share insights to improve forecast accuracy and property sell strategies.
- Serves as a key resource for revenue analysis, effectively communicating insights, findings, and strategic recommendations to general managers, property leadership, and market sales teams.
- Proactively identifies profit opportunities and potential areas for revenue improvement through targeted analysis.
- Conducts "deep dive" analyses to address specific performance shortfalls in hotels.
- Evaluates effectiveness of current sales and pricing strategies; provides critique and data-backed recommendations.
- Enhances and streamlines forecasting and revenue analysis processes by creating effective tools, dashboards, and models.
- Manages and nurtures internal stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment on revenue strategies.
- Understands and accurately represents individual property needs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Proficiency in Hilton (GRO, OnQ RMS, R&I) and/or Marriott (OneYield, MARSHA, MRDW) revenue platforms and/or other applicable Brand systems
- Deep understanding of revenue management principles, pricing strategy, and inventory optimization.
- Analytical thinking and data interpretation skills.
- Strong understanding of revenue management principles and inventory optimization.
- Strong business acumen and ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights.
- Effective communicator and collaborator with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Excel; familiarity and use of Power BI is a plus.
- Experience with CoStar, Kalibri Labs, Lighthouse, Amadeus products.
- Leadership and influence across multiple stakeholders.
- Adaptive and agile in response to shifting market conditions.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- Certification in Revenue Management (e.g., CHRM, CRME) preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years of revenue management experience, with at least 2 years in a multi-property or full-service hotel environment.
- Prior experience with Hilton brand systems is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with other brands and systems is a plus (Marriott, IHG, Wyndham, Choice).
- Experience and extensive use of Profit Sword
- Experience supporting or managing revenue strategies across diverse geographic markets is highly desirable.
- Experience in both full-service and select-service hotel environments is ideal.
