Position Summary:
The Vice President of Marketing is a senior leader at TriMark USA, the country’s largest provider of foodservice equipment, supplies, design services, and service beyond the sale. This role is responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives brand growth, market share, customer engagement, and supports sales expansion across divisions and channels. This strategic leader oversees all marketing functions – including brand management, digital marketing and engagement, communications, and category marketing – and ensures alignment with TriMark’s national and regional business goals.
The Vice President of Marketing will lead initiatives that strengthen TriMark’s market position across its broad customer base. This includes spearheading product category marketing, enhancing digital transformation, enabling sales through marketing tools and campaigns, and building a cohesive brand presence across the company’s multi-division structure. The ideal candidate brings a mix of strategic vision, creative execution, and cross-functional collaboration, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams in complex, growth-oriented environments.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Brand & Strategy Development
- Define and evolve TriMark’s brand positioning and value proposition in the marketplace, showcasing competitive differentiation and advantages.
- Drive key initiative marketing support and oversee consistent brand messaging across all channels and customer touchpoints in a cost-effective manner.
- Guide go-to-market strategies for new services, categories, or business lines.
- Partner with executive leadership, regional Presidents, sales leaders, and functional heads to align marketing efforts with revenue, customer, and product strategies.
- Oversee all aspects of key marketing platforms, including a strong social media presence and campaign development.
- Manage content creation to support all leadership sectors in preparation for strategic meetings, national sales events, industry trade shows and events, and other key initiatives.
- Build and maintain processes and materials to drive consistent and timely industry recognition and awareness.
- Optimize use of customer data platform (HubSpot) to enable targeted marketing and sales enablement.
- Lead development of creative and focused programs to drive high incremental value in the use of cooperative marketing funds, simplifying the process and payment across more than 50 suppliers.
- Track effectiveness of cooperative marketing spending to ensure sales uplift and profitability.
- Drive low-cost high-return marketing plans for trade shows and field marketing efforts, working collaboratively with regional and divisional executives and sales leaders.
- Oversee and streamline TriMark online merchandise portal.
- Lead, oversee and mentor the multi-site-based marketing team to support company initiatives, maximize trade and cooperative marketing, and drive meaningful sales success.
- Manage marketing budgets and vendor / agency partnerships.
- Build a culture of accountability, creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Continuously assess talent and provide feedback to ensure on-going capability building and strength of skills.
The ideal candidate should also possess, at minimum, the following qualifications and attributes:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing leadership, ideally in distribution, foodservice, or related industry.
- Proven track record of building high-impact marketing programs that drive measurable outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence key stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Strong understanding of modern digital marketing platforms and tools.
- Results-oriented mindset with a high sense of urgency to drive business success and continuity.
- Strategic thinker with strong financial and analytical acumen.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation experience.
- Impeccable ethics, integrity, and personal accountability.
- Customer-centric approach with a focus on building internal and external relationships.
- Recognized experience in building high-performing teams, including attracting, developing, and retaining talent.
The ability to pass a background check post acceptance.
The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate’s unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.
In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark’s’ benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
