Seeking a talented Cost Accountant with at least 4 years of cost accounting experience in an industrial/manufacturing. Will serve as a cross-functional liaison for internal reporting, KPI development, and profitability projections. This role will be primarily responsible for maintaining accurate product costing through variance analyses, managing discretionary spend to budget, and overseeing inventory control.

What You’ll Do
- Develop accurate cost standards
- Perform cost audits and variance analyses
- Identify margin improvement opportunities
- Provide timely updates on key performance indicators
- Assist the operations team with ad-hoc analyses
- Complete month-end close responsibilities as necessary
- Ensure accurate inventory quantities and valuation
- Maintain effective cost structure - proper classifications, timely recognition, & controlled spending
- Partner with IT in developing reporting capabilities
- Foster a spirit of continuous improvement
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
- Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned Experience and Education
What You’ll Need to Excel in This Role
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or a relevant discipline
- At least 4 years of cost accounting experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment Competencies/ Skills
- Oracle JD Edwards or similar ERP familiarity
- MS Excel proficiency – charting/graphing, pivot tables, v-lookups, and logic formulas
- Critical reasoning, solution-based thinking, and research skills
- Ability to complete complex tasks with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
