We are seeking a full time Laboratory Driver who will be responsible for picking up samples and delivering supplies transferred between the laboratory and clients. This is an evening route beginning at 2pm daily. The individual will be responsible for following all safety and quality guidelines while maintaining an efficient route. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sample pickup and delivery from clients in the field, work site, or offices.
- Preparing bottle orders for outgoing deliveries.
- Routine maintenance checks of company vehicle.
- Properly completing all paperwork used to transport samples in custody.
- Maintaining a clean, safe work area.
- Routing samples to proper destination for testing as outlined by SOPs.
- Storing and disposing of samples properly, as instructed.
- Complying with local and corporate quality assurance policies, as well as ISO 17025 lab accreditation requirements.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time, as required by laboratory management.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma.
- Valid full driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
- Working knowledge of good laboratory practice.
- Comfortable in a high paced production environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a production analytical testing laboratory setting.
- Understanding of chemistry, solutions and solvents.
- Organizational skills, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Possession of excellent problem-solving capabilities.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit for intervals of up to 8 hours while working.
- Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate vehicle and handle glassware and coolers.
- Average vision and ability to see, to read and operate equipment.
- Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
- You may be exposed to unpleasant odors.
