About the Role
We're a small growing custom furniture company creating high-end conference tables, dining Tables, desks, and coffee tables and ship nationwide. We need someone who can take ownership of our shipping operations immediately while we're in a critical growth phase.
This isn't your typical warehouse job. You'll be handling custom furniture pieces worth thousands of dollars each, building protective crates, and ensuring our handcrafted work arrives perfect at luxury offices and homes across the country.
What You'll Do
- Build custom wooden crates and protective packaging for high-value furniture
- Safely load, secure, and prepare shipments for nationwide delivery
- Handle local deliveries (truck/van driving)
- Quality control checks before items leave our shop
- Inventory management and organization
- Future opportunity: Learn furniture building and woodworking techniques
What We're Looking For
- Detail-oriented perfectionist - mistakes are expensive with custom $5,000+ tables
- Physical capability to handle heavy furniture and materials
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving mindset when things don't go as planned
- Most importantly: Someone who takes pride in their work and wants to grow
The Reality Check
Our shop is small and chaotic right now. We're growing fast, which means:
- It's not the most organized environment (yet)
- You'll wear multiple hats
- Some days will be stressful
- We work with expensive materials where precision matters
But here's what makes it worth it:
- Real opportunity to learn high-end woodworking from skilled craftsmen
- Growth potential as we expand (we're not staying small forever)
- You'll see your work appreciated by executives and designers across the country
- Competitive pay for the right person
- Small team where your contribution actually matters
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience
- Full-time hours with potential overtime
- Growth opportunities into furniture making
- Learn a skilled trade with real market value
