Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic Crew Member to join our team at Arizona Sandwich Company & Catering on University/52nd Street in Tempe. Our best candidates have a passion for making food, but in a simple non-cooking kitchen.
The ideal candidate for us has some sandwich making experience per the order ticket, experience using a deep fryer or meat slicer, can work in a fast-paced environment, or is motivated to be trained in these over a 30 day training period.
This role requires a strong commitment to food safety and sanitation practices while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Our deli is open Mon-Fri from 6am-4pm, and Saturdays 6am-2pm. Typical shifts would vary between these business hours. Closed all major holidays and Sundays.
Duties
- Prepare menu items according to the order ticket with speed and accuracy, according AZ Sandwich Co. standards;
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment;
- Operate cash register and POS system for processing customer orders accurately.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines during food preparation;
- Manage time effectively to meet customer demands during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Previous sandwich making experience is preferred;
- Maricopa County Food Handler's Card
- Basic math skills for handling recipes, weigh food items on scale
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
