Summary:
Manages and coordinates shipments of HDPE Pipe to our customers. Records and manages Bill and Hold inventory. Enters production into QuickBooks inventory daily. Perform finished goods inventory monthly.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Request quotes from vendor trucking companies for use by customer service sales for their quotes to customers
- Record, ship and track bill and hold shipment through OPS program
- Check inventory supply for orders released to ship
- Enter production reports after released by Quality Control into QuickBooks daily
- Schedule for trucks for deliveries
- Perform finished goods inventory weekly
- Prepare paperwork for vendor pickups and deliveries
- Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor
- Review pipe on truck after it is loaded, take pictures on the load for verification purposes
- Other duties as assigned
- Log loads on log sheet that includes sales order #, customer, location and trucking company
- No travel is expected for this position
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:
- High school diploma or equivalent, desired
At least 1 year in manufacturing environment
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within manufacturing environment
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Punctual with good attendance
- Previous manufacturing machine operation or extrusion experience
Working Conditions:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites.
- The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
