Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Prep Cook to join our small culinary team.. In this role, you will play a vital part in preparing ingredients and assisting in the creation of our signature dishes, ensuring that every meal reflects our commitment to quality and taste. We are looking for a night prep cook. The ideal candidate will work overnight to prep ingredients for the following day, smoke our signature meats, and prepare and package food items for farmers market sales.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
- Assist chefs in cooking and assembling dishes according to recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure high standards of hygiene.
- Support catering operations by preparing food items for events as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Basic culinary skills with an eagerness to learn more.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
