Blessed Sacrament has an open full-time Custodial & Maintenance Technician position for the church and parish. The role includes maintenance and janitorial responsibilities and requires weekends and evenings.
Responsibilities:
- Routine cleaning and maintenance of the church worship space, offices, social hall, gym, kitchen, classrooms, and meeting rooms.
- Set up for parish events and functions.
- Perform minor repairs (e.g., doors, tables, chairs, etc.).
- Snow removal, salting, and general groundskeeping (mulching, weeding, trimming, etc.).
- Trash and recycling removal.
- Follow established security procedures to close and lock parish facilities.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stretch, walk, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work weekends and evenings.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to follow MI-OSHA safety procedures.
- Willingness to assist with on-call emergencies.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
