Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and polishing surfaces.
- Carry out commercial cleaning duties in offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of facilities through regular inspections and prompt attention to spills or hazards.
- Support porter duties by moving furniture or equipment as required for events or maintenance activities.
- Engage in residential painting projects when necessary, ensuring quality finishes.
- Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while performing custodial tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and materials is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines in all tasks performed.
