Custodian

Keiko Studios Music Academy and Venue Rental space is looking for a custodian to perform the following tasks:

• Cleaning wood, vinyl, and tile floors
• Collecting and taking out trash and recycling
• Emptying trash cans
• Moving tables and chairs into different rooms
• Dusting all surfaces
• Changing air filters and cleaning vents
• Order requests for new cleaning supplies as needed
• Maintaining a thorough inventory
• Sweeping sidewalk
• Shoveling snow (seasonal)
• Washing windows
• Shampooing rugs and carpets

Our facility has:

• 3 restrooms
• 7 small music practice rooms
• 3 medium sized practice rooms
• 1 large venue hall
• 1 kitchen

Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools
• Time-management and multitasking abilities
• Physical strength and stamina
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
• Organization skills
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

PART-TIME and ON-CALL for events. About 10 hours per week. Availability on Mondays and Fridays between the hours of 12:30pm - 8:00pm preferable.

Hired candidate can also work as on-call venue security.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
