Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform custodial tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Assist in residential painting and minor facilities maintenance as needed.
- Ensure all restrooms are stocked, clean, and sanitized regularly.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the facility.
- Perform commercial and industrial cleaning duties, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain equipment and supplies in good working order, reporting any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and address any specific cleaning requests.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is advantageous.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
