Seas the Day Café is a specialty coffee shop located in the Port of Everett Marina. We offer a wide variety of artisan sandwiches with several breakfast and lunch options, as well as pastries and ice cream. We serve beer, wine and cider in our shop. Our cornerstone is hospitality and we pride ourselves on the relationships we build, both with our regulars and also within our fun and creative Seas team. We have many people that visit Seas every day and we love building and maintaining those relationships through hospitality and quality.
We are located in a high traffic marina and are seeking someone super friendly with excellent attention to detail to make sandwiches and serve our guests. We are a small shop, so you will need to be able to hop on register when necessary. If you have a desire to learn coffee, we’d love to teach you that as well! This is a full-time position, offering 30+ hours.
The pay starts at $17/hr, depending on experience, plus tips. Current tips are averaging $7-9/hr.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Maintain standards and consistency in coffee and food.
- You will be making sandwiches and coffee, scooping ice cream, as well as running the cash register and tracking inventory.
- Provide excellent customer service.
Applicant Requirements:
- 18 years of age
- Barista experience a plus, but not required.
- Busy cafe experience a plus, but not required.
- Exceptional customer service skills - experience required.
- Must be available weekends – open availability preferred.
- Current food handler's permit.
- Willingness/ability to obtain MAST permit.
- The ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- The ability to work effectively and maintain customer service under stress.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Social media/photography interest and ability also a plus!
