Are you ready to make a significant impact in the transportation industry? As a Customer Service Coordinator (known internally as HOS Coordinator) at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our drivers remain in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) HOS rules and regulations. You'll be the go-to person for our drivers, providing them with the support and guidance they need to navigate HOS rules and resolve any issues quickly and efficiently.
Essential Job Duties
- Respond promptly to incoming calls and emails from drivers, assisting with questions related to hours of service (HOS)
- Provide clear instructions to drivers on how to use their electronic logging devices (ELDs) effectively
- Review driver logs for HOS violations and offer counseling to drivers as needed
- Continuously monitor driver logs to identify and correct errors
- Perform data entry of HOS-related files and information for accurate tracking and recordkeeping
- Regularly review reports to ensure driver compliance with HOS-related systems, programs, and services
- Conduct random audits of driver logs to maintain high standards of compliance
- Provide counseling to drivers for serious infractions and escalate issues when necessary
- Ensure accuracy of all recordkeeping and file retention practices
- Inventory management of ELD equipment; shipping/receiving and troubleshooting support to ensure proper use
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6+ months of customer service experience working in an administrative or office environment
- Basic computer skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Must have good attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability
- Must be able to work independently and in collaboration with others
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have good time-management and organization skills and be able to multitask when necessary
- Dependable and consistently available to work scheduled hours
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within trucking industry and/or with FMCSA rules and regulations
- Bilingual, English/Spanish
