Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, particularly ballet, and possess the ability to engage and inspire students of all ages. This role involves not only teaching dance techniques but also developing lesson plans and managing classroom dynamics to create a positive learning environment. The Dance Instructor will play a crucial role in fostering creativity, discipline, and a love for dance among students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Teach various dance styles, with an emphasis on ballet, while ensuring proper technique and safety practices are followed.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Provide individualized attention to students, offering tutoring and support as needed.
- Plan lessons that incorporate elements of choreography, movement exploration, and performance preparation.
- Collaborate with other instructors to create interdisciplinary programs that may include theater or culinary arts.
- Organize recitals or performances to showcase student progress and foster community engagement.
- Maintain open communication with students and parents regarding progress, challenges, and achievements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching dance or related fields, with a strong emphasis on curriculum development and lesson planning.
- Background in early childhood education or experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and childhood development principles.
- Ability to engage with students of all ages, including adults interested in dance education.
- Experience in related areas such as theater, cooking, photography, sewing, or special education is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple classes and student needs effectively.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
