Job Summary
Dynamic Dance Academy in Verona NJ is looking for a qualified, fun and energetic dance teacher for children ages 5 and up.
We need someone who is able to teach on Fridays, 4PM to 7PM for:
- Ballet & Tap
- Beginner Hip Hop for Boys
We are a well-established studio with great families that really support us. We will take great care of you. We're friendly and support our teachers.
Essential Functions:
- Arrive to work 10-15 minutes prior to class.
- Use appropriate classroom management skills to maintain control of the group.
- Make sure to have music and agenda ready for each class.
- Prepare choreography for the end of class.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Responsible and organized.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience teaching ballet, tap, jazz ages 3 and up
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents and students
- Enthusiastic, passionate, patient and self-disciplined.
- Must have own transportation.
- experience teaching various dance styles like ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, musical theater, lyrical, creative movement and/or acrobatics .
Work Environment/Physical/Mental Demands:
- Memory recognition of students and their names
- Ability to: operate audio equipment, maintain count (good rhythm), jump, kick, step, lunge, stand, push, stretch, and perform basic dance movements.
Required experience:
- Working with children ages 3 and up
- minimum 1 year of experience teaching ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, creative movement and/or acrobatics.
Required licenses or certifications:
- Drivers License not required
