Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline such as management Information Systems, Statistics, or Computer Science.
Desired Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in analytics, data science, business intelligence, or related field
- Familiar with scripting/programming languages such as, but not limited to, Python, R, Java, Javascript, AngularJS, .NET, Hadoop, and Apache related technologies
- Capable of developing innovative approaches for improving the utilization and visualization of existing data sources and techniques
- Must be capable of processing, analyzing, disseminating, and incorporating data into usable products such as reports, presentations, marketing materials, and dashboards
- Must have the ability to extract and interpret data using a variety of tools and methods such as statistics and machine learning
- Must have experience in distributed computing, predictive modeling, mathematics, statistics, machine learning, storytelling, etc.
- Capable of determining the optimal method of statistical analysis to accurately determine measures of tendency, correlation, sample size, and significance of difference
- Experienced in the collection, processing, exploiting, and managing of publicly available information

Responsibilities:
SANCORP is seeking a Data Analyst to support the Air Force Research Laboratory through the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO). The following are examples of responsibilities:
- Establish comprehensive plan for collecting, processing, exploiting, and managing publicly available information, ensuring flexibility to evolving requirements.
- Work with teammates to develop analytical models, tools, widgets, applications, etc.
- Process, analyze, disseminate data (structured and unstructured), and incorporate results into usable products, typically finished intelligence and visual analysis or dashboards.
- Work with Cyber teams to ensure solutions meet rigorous security restrictions.
- Automate manual analytic processes, generate analytic models, and enable analysts to exploit data holdings (business process automation).
- Establish advanced analysis and data visualization methodologies, models, and tools to derive / predict intelligence outcomes and impacts.
- Maintain leading edge processes such as technology and mission need change.
- Analyze current data sources and techniques and apply innovative and big data-driven problem-solving skills to analytic elements.
- Provide services related to data visualization and communication of complex quantitative concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Provide tailored communications to innovation stakeholders in meetings, demos, and other customer engagements.
- Apply specialized experience in statistics and machine learning algorithms.
