We’re looking for a Data Scientist to lead and shape our data science initiatives within the Saint-Gobain Chryso's R&D team. What You’ll Do:
Lead & Innovate (40%)
Build and develop a high-performing data science group within our R&D team, fostering a collaborative and empowering culture.
Develop cutting-edge machine learning models to optimize cement formulation, analyze IoT sensor data, and assess competitive products.
Integrate seamlessly with our Microsoft Azure-based software infrastructure.
Stay Ahead of the Curve (10%)
Keep up with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in AI/ML/DL.
Collaborate & Connect (5%)
Engage with data scientist communities across Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals (SGCC) and Saint-Gobain Research to share insights and drive innovation.
Travel (5%)
Some travel may be required to collaborate with teams and industry partners.
What You Bring:
Education & Experience:
Ph.D. or Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in a Data Science role.
Technical Expertise:
Experience with cloud-based data infrastructure (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
Strong programming skills in Python, with proficiency in SQL, NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Jupyter, and Keras.
Ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with construction industry or manufacturing processes is a plus!
