Job Overview
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, serves as the Director/Head Teacher and is responsible for the administration and supervision of the Day Care Center, and the implementation of the Christ-Centered Curriculum that addresses the total needs of the child/children.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision to the Group Teacher, Teachers' Aides, and other staff (cook, custodian, and volunteers).
- Plan and implement the educational program, in conjunction with the center staff, Executive Director and the Day Care Committee.
- Maintain and establish a safe and healthy learning environment.
- Promote parent participation.
- Demonstrate sound Early Childhood Educational practices through age appropriate activities, materials, and equipment, in such a manner as to allow the children to function at an optimal level,
- Maintain records and reports required by the state.
Skills
- First aid certification is preferred.
- Experience in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong background in childhood development and early childhood education.
- Previous experience in daycare settings, including infant care, toddler care, and preschool experience.
- Proficient in classroom management techniques to maintain an engaging learning atmosphere.
- Ability to teach foundational skills through play-based learning methods.
- Experience working with students in various capacities such as nannying, babysitting, or caregiving.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
