Job Description
In the role of Delivery Driver, deliveries to designated customers and clients will be made as assigned by the pharmacist.
Shifts and Hours
- Full Time or Part Time
- Monday thru Friday, Saturday as needed.
- Hours: 9:00am-6:00pm
- Schedule will be assigned by the pharmacist and according to the needs of the company and clients
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver prescription medication to patients at their place of residence/business.
- Obtain customer signatures as proof of receipt and collect money.
- Deliver each prescription or seek approval to bring back each delivery.
- Return signed customer receipts, collected money, Medicine On Time containers, totes and any undeliverable prescriptions to the pharmacy at the end of each shift.
- Uphold HIPPA regulations.
- Assist with process improvement.
- Assess procedures and making recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure clean, safe working conditions of all vehicles.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Punctual, dependable, and prepared for assigned shifts.
- Communicate effectively and appropriately to pharmacy staff or any needs.
Skills
- Must be able to read, interpret, and follow a map/gps.
- Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions in English, including traffic signs.
- Must commit to a regular and consistent schedule so that we can commit to our clients in providing them delivery service 5 days a week.
- Must be dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.
- Must be able to handle sometimes bulky packages.
Requirements
- Must be able to see and hear all traffic signs, sirens and lights.
- Must be able to physically get in and out of vehicle at each stop.
- Must be able to walk up/down stairs and on uneven surfaces.
- Must be able to walk a reasonable distance to a customer's place of residence/business. Customers may live in apartment buildings, assisted living centers, neighborhoods, doctor's offices etc. The parking situations will vary.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Able to bend at the waist, squat.
- Able to work with hands, see and hear.
Work Environment
- This position requires driving in all weather and road conditions. Living conditions of patients in their homes/ facilities may not be sanitary. Must be able to work independently without supervision. Must be able to work in cooperation with the pharmacy and laboratory needs.
Conditions of Employment

- Must always maintain a valid driver's license.
