Job Overview
Troy’s Tropics is looking for a reliable and customer-friendly Delivery Driver to transport landscaping plant material to customers' homes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, handling plants with care, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks.
- Loading and unloading plant material.
- Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition before each trip.
- Keep vehicle in a clean condition.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
Experience
- Previous experience in delivering is preferred.
- Familiarity with performing heavy lifting tasks is a plus.
- Experience with route driving and knowledge of local roadways is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while meeting delivery deadlines.
- Plant experience is preffered
