Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Route Driver to join our team. The Route Driver will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods along assigned routes
- Load and unload items using a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
- Follow delivery schedules and adapt to any changes as needed
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks
- Deliver to 100+ residences and businesses daily
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial driving, especially with manual transmission vehicles
- Proficiency in operating box trucks and using forklifts and pallet jacks
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks
- Strong customer service skills to interact with clients during deliveries
- Familiarity with courier services is a plus

This is an available delivery driver position for a contracted company (Carron Logistics) with FedEx Ground. The applicant must be able to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, MVR and background check. The applicant needs to have verifiable work history with driving experience. The applicant must be able to occasionally move packages up to 150lbs. The applicant also needs to have a cell phone to use GPS while working. The applicant will need a current driver's license too.
The FedEx Ground facility where work begins daily is located in Tallahassee, FL.
