Delivery Driver

About the Position:
The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely transporting and delivering glass, glazing materials, and related products to customers and job sites, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to safety protocols. This role also involves tasks like loading, unloading, and ensuring materials are properly secured during transit. This role will occasionally help with shop fabrication and other various duties as needed.
Position Requirements:
- Glaziers Local 188 Member (must join upon hire)
- Load, transport and deliver items to vendors and customers, and job sites.
- Review orders before/after delivery to ensure completeness.
- Adhere to assigned routes and delivery schedule, abiding by all transportation laws while maintaining a safe driving record.
- Prepare reports and other order documents related to deliveries.
- Operate equipment and machinery, including cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
- Assist Shop employees with fabrication when necessary.
- Maintain excellent attendance.
- Ability to lift 75lbs without assistance.
- Must maintain a clean driving record
Education and/or Experience:
One - two years related experience
Knowledge:
· Knowledge of driving regulations and safe driving practices
· Experience in the construction industry
· Basic knowledge of fabrication
· Excellent communication and organization skills
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

Pay: $28.21 - $33.19 per hour
