We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Take X-rays, adhering to safety standards.
- Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize dental software such as Dentrix Ascend for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
- Monitor vital signs as necessary during procedures to ensure patient safety
- Help educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Collaborate with the dental team to improve office efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Knowledge of infection control practices specific to dental settings.
- Familiarity with 3D scanners is a must. (Itero, Primescan)
- Understanding of prosthodontics is preferred but not mandatory.
- Milling crowns with Cerec is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a busy environment.
