We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PER-DIEM Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice, providing exceptional patient care while supporting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting techniques and a commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols.
- Take dental X-rays as required, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis.
- Utilize 3D scanners for impressions and assist in the creation of prosthodontic appliances.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies, ordering as necessary to maintain stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques throughout all procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with knowledge of general dentistry practices.
- Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding infection control measures.
- Familiarity with prosthodontics and four-handed dentistry techniques is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical coding and anatomy will be beneficial in this role.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is a plus.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 25 per week

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
