Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled dental assistant to join our dental practice. The dental assistant will provide support to the dentist, ensuring that all patients receive high-quality care. The ideal candidate should be reliable, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the dentist during procedures
- Taking and developing dental x-rays
- Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Greeting and preparing patients for dental procedures
- Taking and recording medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients
- Providing post-operative instructions to patients
- Maintaining and updating patient records
- Ordering and maintaining dental supplies and equipment
- Cleaning and organizing dental treatment rooms
- Assisting with front office tasks, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and billing patients
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
- Current CPR certification
- X-ray certification
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures
