Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the dental operatory by ensuring all instruments are sterilized and ready for use, adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software, ensuring accuracy in documentation.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain infection control protocols in compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare dental materials for procedures, including impressions, fillings, and other necessary preparations.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the dental office.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a general dentistry setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in dental terminology and understanding of infection control practices.
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
- Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
