We are a busy, well-established general dental office in the heart of Downtown Portland, looking for an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our friendly team! Position Details:
- Schedule: MON-THURS 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Pay: $32 - $38 /hr or DOE + Benefits
- Immediate Hiring
- 2 years dental experience required
Key Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Manage patient flow and ensure smooth operation of the clinic
- Assist the dentist with a variety of restorative and surgical procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms, and ensure proper flow of sterilization room and spore testing.
- Take dental radiographs (x-rays) and maintain patient records.
- Prepare dental materials for fillings, impressions, and other procedures.
- Provide patient education on post-procedure care and dental hygiene
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience required
- Must be a licensed EFDA in the state of Oregon, and x-ray certified.
- Organized, and strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Experience in a fast-paced dental environment is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented setting with a positive attitude.
