Job Overview
We are a general dental office in Miramar looking to add a friendly and hardworking dental assistant to our small but positive team! Most of our patients have been coming to our office for decades so we greatly prioritize providing good customer service and respect our patients’ time. This translates into a low-stress and flexible working environment for our staff.
Although dental experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate with a willingness to learn!Our office will cover the cost of any required training / certification courses required for the job. The right candidate would be compassionate, possess a strong work ethic, and be a team player. You will be cross-trained in both front and back office duties so you will need to be proactive in identifying where you are needed and jumping in with little oversight.
The pay range is dependent on level of experience. The low point of the pay range is for certified dental assistants with no experience and the high point of the pay range is for RDAs with years of experience. There is also a monthly bonus opportunity that is dependent on meeting our collections goals!
Our office is open Monday - Thursday from 12PM - 7PM ( + occasional Fridays during busy seasons) so this role is perfect for night owls and good work/life balance! This role can be part-time or full-time.
Duties

Front Office:
- Checking patients in/out
- Scheduling appointments
- Answering phone/e-mails
- Verifying insurances
- Presenting treatment plans/estimates
- Placing orders for dental materials
- Other general administrative duties
Back Office:
- Chairside assisting for all procedures
- Coronal polishing
- Taking dental radiographs
- Sterilizing instruments
- Setting up/breaking down operatories and procedure trays
- Taking/pouring impressions
- Making temporary crowns/bridges
- Cleaning/general maintenance of office
Skills
Required:
- Familiarity with dental procedures and dental anatomy
- Good customer service skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to follow HIPAA laws to protect patient privacy
- Ability to manage dental records accurately
Not required, but preferred:
- Dental Radiography Certificate (digital x-rays)
- Coronal Polishing Certificate
- BLS
- Familiarity with Softdent or similar dental practice management software.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
