Job Summary
As the first point of contact for our practice, the Front Desk Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and creating a positive, professional experience for every patient. You’ll be responsible for greeting patients, managing scheduling, verifying insurance, and supporting both clinical and administrative teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet patients and visitors with a professional and friendly attitude
- Manage patient check-in and check-out process
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule appointments
- Confirm appointments and maintain accurate scheduling for providers
- Collect and post payments, handle financial arrangements, and present treatment plans
- Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and documentation
- Support back-office team with coordination and flow
- Keep the front office organized, clean, and running smoothly
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year dental or medical front office experience preferred
- Familiarity with dental insurance and treatment coordination a strong plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and multi-tasking
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning dental software (Open Dental)
- Positive attitude, team player, and professional appearance
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 26 per week
